Philip M. Murray, 47, of New Athens, IL, born May 27, 1977, in Decatur, IL, passed away on Monday August 19, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon, IL. He was employed at Texas Roadhouse restaurant.
Philip is survived by his parents – Lonzo and Karen (Holzmeier) Murray of New Athens, IL, two brothers – James (Nichole) Murray of Okawville, IL and Paul (Kelly) Murray of Herrin, IL, two nieces – Rylie and Karlye Murray and three nephews – Cort and Bradley Murray and Cooper Hall. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday August 26, 2024, in the reception hall at the Bullpen Bar & Grill in New Athens, IL. Food will be available at 5:30 p.m. with a religious service at 6 p.m.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
