Richard W. Dalhaus Edwardsville - Richard Wayne Dalhaus passed Saturday, August 17, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born September 2, 1941 to Arthur and Mildred (Morton) Dalhaus. Richard graduated from Edwardsville high school in 1961. He married Sandra June Rhymer in 1961. She preceded him in death in January 1979. He then met and married Donna Burgess in 1989. Rich proudly served his country in Vietnam with the US army where he earned the rank of specialist E5 and several commendation medals. He was a forty- year member of both the Edwardsville American Legion and Teamster's Local 525. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Arlen and sister-in-law Margaret; his brother, Donald and sister-in-law Pat; grandson Devin Myers and grand nephew Nickolus Durham; and numerous Strader and Rhymer in-laws who he always considered family.
