Bassler, Sr., 89, of Belleville, IL, born February 28, 1935, in Mascoutah, IL, died Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Dammert Care Center at the Shrine. Kenneth's faith was very strong with the Lord, he was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. He was very active in the parish, he served on the St. Mary school board, he was involved with the Boy Scouts, he was a Sunday money counter, and a member of the men's club at church. Kenneth worked as a millwork salesman at Liese Lumber for 49 years. He was an avid gardener and bird house builder. He enjoyed camping, playing golf, and playing cards with his high school friends, a tradition shared for over 50 years. Kenneth was the proudest grandpa and great-grandpa in the world.
