Carolyn Sue Atwood, age 70, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born January 28, 1955 in Belleville, the daughter of the late William Murrell, Jr. and Alice J. (Reynolds) Watson (Harold).
She is survived by two children: Richard (Sara) Atwood of Collinsville and Christina (James) Powell of Collinsville; five grandchildren: Xander Atwood, Lexi Atwood, Alex Powell, James Powell, III and Kimberly Powell; two brothers: Tom (Linda) Murrell of Shiloh and Don Murrell of Vandalia and three nephews Nathan (April) Murrell of Azusa, CA, David Murrell of St. Louis, MO and Ian Murrell of Chicago, IL.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
